Summer Fun

Finally feels like summer's on its way! I don't know how I'm gonna manage working this summer....I need to be outside when it's this nice. Better get the rollerblades out...my goal for this summer is to learn how to stop properly. Jumping into the grass to stop isn't gonna cut it anymore.

On a different note, I saw Hairspray last night....it was a great show! I would totally recommend it.

End of Friends

Tonight's the long awaited finale of Friends......hard to believe 10 years has gone by. I'd have to say it's one of my favourite all time sitcoms and it has followed me through so many critical years of my life. So tonight they're playing 1 hour of looking back at old episodes and then the second hour is the actual episode. In between the first and second hour is survivor.....kinda weird how they sandwiched it in between like that. But on American networks, friends and survivor are airing at the same time......guess survivor's ratings will be down tonight.

Tired of Driving

It's been a while since my last blog but I've been super busy trying to complete my taxes.....too much procrastination. Anyways, I had a good weekend although I spent way too much time in my car. It's not cool when the DVP is closed especially when I needed to go downtown three times this weekend. Yesterday it took 2 hours to get downtown......ridiculous. Friday night I went to my friend's wedding reception, saturday I went to an engagement party. Yesterday, I went to lunch with the "High Park" Crew.....we were supposed to meet in their hood but after my 2 hour adventure to get to harbourfront, I decided I had enough and made them meet us in between. Our lunch kinda turned into an early dinner followed by Second Cup and then Montana's to watch the hockey game.....actually more like the last few minutes of the hockey game.

P.S. Online shopping is great......i'm addicted!!!

The Apprentice Finale

Long awaited.....the finale of the apprentice is on tonight in a 2 hour season finale. For all of us "reality TV" addicts, this is quite exciting. I still think Troy should have been the apprentice but now that it's down to Kwame or Bill, I'm rooting for Bill. Although I have a strong suspicion, Trump may pick Kwame cause he seems to really like him.

I'm so glad the sun is shining and this weekend is supposed to be really nice.......sandal weather! I completely agree with the fact that weather affects one's mood. Sun makes me smile....makes me happy! Plus I love driving with my sunroof open......music blaring and hair blowing in the wind.....hehe.

Since I seem to slack every second day at work, I better get to work cuz yesterday I kinda went to the mall for 2 hours.....BUT I didn't buy any clothes......just 2 books (and reading is good for u....lol).

Short Week

Long weekends are great......i'm really looking forward to my day off tomorrow. The only issue I have with most long weekends is that everyone is off which means everything is closed (including malls). So...there's not a whole lot to do but it can be a relaxing day (involving lotsa sleeeep).

Last night, the "brown SATC girls" (as we refer to ourselves now) took Puja to Moxie's for her bday. This is getting to be sorta a ritual as 3 of the birthdays have been in the last month. We need to make some more friends born near the end of the year (lol). Or we'll just have to make excuses to get together more often.

Special happy birthday shoutout to Puja (Apr.6) who turned 25!

Cold and Windy!
The sun is very deceiving......makes it look nice and warm outside until you step out and realize it's freeeezing cold. Isn't it spring?

Had a pretty good weekend. Went to This is London on Saturday night. Damn the bathroom is nice........could have hung out there the whole night (lol). The music was ok but they had a nice little antipasto buffet and a bucket of chocolate easter eggs....makes the $20 cover understandable.

Also saw "Jersey Girl" with Ben Affleck......I LOVE him. Didn't expect it to be so sad though. It was definitely a cute, cheezy movie but I'm all about the cheeziness (lol).

California Withdrawal

I spent the last few days in California......it was loads of fun and the weather was fantastic. It hit about 32 degrees on sunday....sunny clear blue skies. I love California! It was great to see friends, cousins, aunts, uncles and my brother (who I hadn't seen in almost a year).
My cousin's wedding was a blast....we got our hair done by a stylist who was on "extreme makeover" last month and Gwen Stefani's one of his clients.....that was pretty cool.
Also saw "Dawn of the Dead" this weekend.....it was pretty stupid but I'm not into these type of flicks at all. I was voting for "Jersey Girl" but I got outvoted.
Gotta get back to work.......I have a whole week to get through and I'm going on almost no sleep since last wednesday (lol).

California baby!!!

I just straightened my hair (in the bathroom at work) with my new flat iron. I love it....works like a charm. This weekend I got my hair coloured and highlighted and they did such a good job straightening it that I had to have it so I could create the look whenever I want. My mini vacation starts tonight...going to California for my cousin's wedding. I was up till 2 am last night packing....leaving for the airport right after work today.....yippee. Needless to say I'm not feeling the "work mode" today (lol). I'm just looking forward to escape the cold and to hopefully get tons of sun (desperate need of a tan right now) but knowing my luck it will be "overcast." I still have a few final requests from the folks in LA......ketchup chips and toblerone (how those Americans manage, I still don't know).

Rrrroll up the rim to win!

As usual, this morning I went to Tim Horton's for my coffee and rolled up the rim only to have it say "please play again." I'm convinced the medium sized cups at tim horton's have no prizes on them....I think they're all on the extra-larges. It's been about 2 weeks now and I haven't won once. What happened to those good 'ole days when I would roll up and get a free cookie, muffin or coffee? Winning is such a great feeling even if it is only a 40 cent cookie (LOL).

I'm so excited to go shopping after work today.......H&M (one of my favourite stores) has finally opened at Fairview Mall....woo hoo. Now anytime I go to NYC, I won't have to designate a day to "H&M" (LOL).
I was going to go yesterday but heard the line up was massive.....hoping today won't be so bad. But then again there was a free Avril Lavigne concert at Fairview yesterday as well....could account for why so many people were at Fairview yesterday.

An hour and a half to go until the weekend begins......

My First Ever Blog

After months of reading everyone else's blogs, I've finally decided to start my own. I have been wanting to set this up for a long time but procrastination got the better of me. So now that I can blog, I'm having writer's block. I'll start with the weekend. It was consumed with sleeping, loafing and more loafing. BUT I didn't go shopping this weekend.....wow.....my self control is getting better and the fact that I was still in my PJs until 4 pm on saturday. Saturday night we went out for Amisha's bday.....had a lot of fun and got to catch up with lots of people i haven't seen in a while. My gnocchi was quite good too!

Today I finally booked my ticket for LA this month....yippee......one thing I can cross off my "things to do" list. Other than that, I have done practically nothing at work today.....it really does feel like a monday. Tonight I'm going to go to my pilates class......now that Average Joe's over. Yes, TV really does consume too much of my life.

Well folks that's all for now. This blogging thing is something I think I can get used to....
